This Privacy Policy describes Our policies and procedures on the collection, use, and disclosure of Your information when You use the Service and tells You about Your privacy rights and how the law protects You.

  • Phone number (if opting into SMS updates)
  • IP location / Geographic region

Newsletter & Email Communications (Kit)

When You subscribe to Our email list or sign up via subscription forms on Our Website, We collect Your name, email address, and IP location. This data is collected and processed for the purpose of sending You newsletters, marketing updates, product notifications, or requested digital content.

Your subscriber data is stored, processed, and hosted by Our third-party email service provider, Kit (formerly ConvertKit). You can review Kit's Privacy Policy for more details on how they process and safeguard data.

You can unsubscribe or opt out of these communications at any time by clicking the automatic “Unsubscribe” link located at the bottom of every email We send, or by contacting Us directly to request complete deletion of Your subscriber data.

Usage Data

Usage Data is collected automatically when using the Service. It may include information such as Your Device's IP address, browser type, browser version, the pages visited, time and date of visits, time spent on pages, unique device identifiers, and other diagnostic data.

Tracking Technologies and Cookies

We use Cookies and similar tracking technologies (such as web beacons and pixel tags) to track activity on Our Service. We use both Session and Persistent Cookies for necessary functionality, consent tracking, and performance preferences.

SMS / Text Message Privacy Notice

If You opt in to receive text (SMS) messages from Us, We collect and store Your phone number, consent date, and message interaction records. No mobile information will be shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. The phone numbers and consent records We collect for texting are never shared with anyone, except the Service Providers that technically deliver the text messages.

Retention of Your Personal Data

We retain Your Personal Data only as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy, including compliance with legal obligations, dispute resolution, and contract enforcement:

  • Account Data: Retained for the duration of Your Account relationship, plus up to 24 months post-closure.
  • Subscriber Data (Kit): Retained until You unsubscribe or request erasure.
  • Support & Chat Data: Up to 24 months from ticket closure.
  • Analytics & Server Logs: Up to 24 months from collection.

Transfer of Your Personal Data

Your Personal Data is processed at the Company's offices and external Service Provider locations (including in the United States). If You are located outside the United States, Your information will be transferred across international borders. We implement standard contractual clauses (SCCs) or reliance on adequacy decisions to ensure appropriate safeguards exist for all international data transfers.

California Privacy Rights

California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA) Disclosure

CalOPPA requires commercial websites and online services to post a privacy policy. In compliance with CalOPPA, We specify the following:

  • Users can visit Our site anonymously without providing Personal Data.
  • Our Privacy Policy link includes the word “Privacy” and can easily be found on the homepage or via a direct link from major pages on Our Website.
  • Users will be notified of any Privacy Policy updates on Our Privacy Policy Page (and via email for material changes).
  • Users can change or update their personal information by emailing Us at hello@inchwise.app or by logging into their Account settings page (if applicable).

“Do Not Track” (DNT) Signals & Tracking Policies

We honor Do Not Track (DNT) signals and do not track, plant cookies, or use advertising when a DNT browser mechanism is in place. Additionally, We do not allow third-party behavioral tracking for direct marketing purposes on Our Website without explicit user consent.

California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA / CPRA Notice)

This section applies solely to California residents under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA).

Categories of Personal Information Collected in the Past 12 Months
  • Identifiers: Email address, name, IP address, device ID, phone number.
  • Internet/Electronic Network Activity: Browsing history, interaction with Our Website/Service.
  • Geolocation Data: IP-based general location.
Sales and Sharing of Personal Information

We do NOT sell Your Personal Information, nor do We “share” Your Personal Information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We have not sold or shared any Personal Information in the preceding 12 months.

  • Right to Know / Access: Request details on categories and specific pieces of Personal Information We have collected about You.
  • Right to Delete: Request erasure of Personal Information collected from You, subject to certain legal exceptions.

  • Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against You for exercising any of Your CCPA/CPRA rights.
  • Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information: We do not collect or process sensitive personal information for purposes other than core service delivery.

Children's Privacy

Our Service is not directed to anyone under the age of 16, and We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 16 years of age.

Our Service may contain links to external sites not operated by Us. We strongly advise You to review the Privacy Policy of every site You visit.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update Our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify You of changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the “Last updated” date at the top. For material updates, We will notify You via email or a prominent notice on Our Website.
